Privacy Policy

Driftwood respects your privacy and pledges to never knowingly divulge confidential personal information about you, your account, or your service history with us without your prior permission. We will not share, trade or otherwise distribute your contact information or email address without specific, prior permission from you.

Driftwood respects the privacy concerns of the users of its Sites. As a general policy, no personal information is automatically collected from users of its Sites. However, certain non-personal information is recorded by the standard operation of Driftwood's Internet servers. Information, such as the type of browser being used, its operating system, and your domain name is gathered in order to customize your online experience. Other uses of this information include internal review of the number of users to the Sites, but only in an aggregate and non-personally-identifiable form. This non-personally-identifiable may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.

Personally identifiable information that may be collected in connection with voluntarily filling out forms on Driftwood's web sites is retained by Driftwood and is not sold or otherwise transferred outside the company without your prior consent.

When required, Driftwood may provide the details of a purchase from us to a vendor to meet licensing requirements. In example, if you purchase Miva Merchant from Driftwood we will automatically provide your registration information to Miva Corporation so you are sure to obtain full registered user benefits and support. And we will only share that information when it is absolutely required by the license source. This is the only time we provide other companies or organizations with personal information from you, and it will not include perpetually-confidential information such as your credit card number, passwords, or other information that Driftwood has obtained during the sales process unless unavoidably required to meet license or registration requirements. Driftwood cannot be held responsible for the maintenance of our own Privacy Policy by our supplying vendors, and recommend your review of the vendor's polices as appropriate.

Except when unavoidably required by license requirements or by legal mandate, Driftwood promises to not divulge any information about you without your prior permission. But Driftwood will use personal informaton you have provided to us if we must persue you by legal means, whether for non-payment of services we delivered, abuse of our services, intentional violations of our Acceptable Use Policy, or the use of our services to intentionally abuse others.

On those sites specifically designed for children, Driftwood collects no personal data at all. However, Driftwood believes that parents should supervise their children's online activities and consider using parental control tools available that may help provide a child-friendly online environment. These tools may also prevent children from disclosing online their name, address, and other personal information without parental permission. Personal information about or obtained from a child will not be used for commercial or trade purposes without the prior written consent of a parent or legal guardian of the child.
